National Check Trust is a proud supporter of the Foundation for Peace, and we are using our company picnic this weekend as an opportunity to generate proactive support in the form of a monetary donation.
The NCT company picnic, which is being held this weekend at CB Smith Park, features a raffle that all NCT employees have been encouraged to participate in. Raffle tickets were sold throughout this past week for $5 a piece, with two grand prize winners to be announced at the picnic.
Most importantly, 50% of the proceeds from raffle ticket sales will be donated directly to the Foundation for Peace.

The FOUNDATION FOR PEACE is a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization dedicated to education in the United States and to working hand in hand with people in materially impoverished areas of the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Kenya to provide educational support, healthcare access, economic opportunity and hope. We work together as long-term partners in solidarity to enable personal success and community achievement. We believe this will result in sustainable and successful initiatives that relieve the effects of poverty, encourage personal growth, and overcome injustice.
The Foundation for Peace works with governments, churches, businesses and non-governmental entities at home and abroad. FFP stands for all people, especially those who have been ignored by society. Donating resources and time to work hand in hand has brought attention and tangible improvements to marginalized communities.
This donation by NCT is to help those unfortunate families who are living in very poor conditions and who live in the poorest of health: people suffering from malnourishment, skin diseases, and parasites due to the lack of fresh water supply or proper nutrients. This money will also aid in the construction of new roofs, provide medical support, gardens for fresh vegetables and schools for children.
We are all greatly looking forward to this weekend’s picnic and to sharing an enjoyable day of friends and family together, and we are certainly all excited that the picnic and raffle will help out such a worthy cause.
